Troy council reappoints two members to Police Commission and adds new member

The Troy City Council unanimously reappointed Bob Peterson and Linda Rodrigues to the Police Commission and appointed Benn Kibbey to a new seat during a brief meeting on Jan. 27. Mayor TJ Boswell said he had spoken with City Attorney Levi Roadman, who recommended using annual appointments for the commission.
Councilmember Jamie Shupe moved to reappoint Peterson and Rodrigues; Councilmember Shawna Kelsey seconded the motion, and the council voted in favor. Later in the meeting, Shupe moved to appoint Benn Kibbey to the open seat; Councilmember Jesse Haag seconded, and the council again voted in favor. The meeting record notes both motions “carried.”
The council took no other formal action on Police Commission duties or on candidates’ backgrounds during the meeting. The session, which opened at 6:05 p.m., adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
