School board approves student trips to Morocco and Scotland

Eric Doucette, a social studies teacher, presented an eight‑day Scotland trip he plans to run using a travel company he has used for previous student trips. Doucette said the itinerary is designed for learning and that the company is "very amenable" to minor changes requested by students. A board member moved to approve the Scotland trip; Amy Ransom seconded the motion and the board approved it.
Both proposals followed the board's standard practice of a brief presentation, public questioning and a motion to approve. The board did not record roll‑call tallies for either vote in the public transcript.
