The Knob Noster Board of Aldermen handled routine business and several unanimous approvals at its Jan. 6, 2026 meeting.
On a motion by Alderman Charrette and second by Alderman Smith, the board approved adding the PA Portal to the KNPD Omnigo electronic ticketing system at a cost of $2,340 for 2026. The City Clerk said $9,479.49 had been paid in May 2025 for the base Omnigo software. The board recorded the vote as 6 ayes to 0 nays. The transcript notes that tickets KNPD writes must be filed through Omnigo to be accepted by the Johnson County Circuit Clerk.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the agenda (motion carried 5 ayes to 0 nays) and the consent agenda, including corrected minutes for Dec. 16, 2025 (motion carried 5 ayes to 0 nays). The board also made motions to advance Bill No. 010626-A (Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Transportation Alternatives Program Supplemental Agreement) to first and second readings by title only; the transcript records the readings but does not show a final adoption vote for that bill in the visible segments. A separate printed roll-call excerpt in the packet records that Bill No. 121625-B passed 5 ayes to 1 nay and assigns Ordinance number 932, but the transcript does not provide context for that item within the visible segments.
Alderman Charrette moved and Alderman Kleoppel seconded a motion to adjourn; the motion carried 6 ayes to 0 nays, and the meeting ended at 6:46 p.m.
