Marion, Wis. — Following a closed-session personnel discussion, the Marion School District Board on Dec. 18 approved multiple spring coaching contracts but declined two head coach appointments.
The board entered closed session at 6:27 p.m. under Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(c) to consider personnel matters. The motion to move into closed session was made by John Schwartz and seconded by Bruce Zillmer; the minutes record a 7-0 roll-call vote with two members absent. The motion carried 7-0. Dawn Papendorf then moved (seconded by John Schwartz) to not approve the Head Softball Coach; that motion carried 7-0. Melissa Stuhr moved (seconded by Bruce Zillmer) to not approve the Spring Head Baseball Coach as presented; that motion also carried 7-0.
