At its Nov. 11 meeting the Marion School District board moved through routine business and approved several operational items.
Bruce Zillmer moved and Tiffany Krueger seconded a roll-call motion to adopt the agenda, which carried with an 8-0 tally (Nikki Bonikowske was recorded absent at the start of the meeting). The board then approved minutes for the Oct. 14 and Oct. 28 regular meetings; that motion carried with George Graper recorded as abstaining.
Tiffany Krueger moved to approve checks #33304 through #33389 and the listed ACH transactions; the motion passed. Lynn Tober-Steinke moved to approve the October 31, 2024 financial report; that motion carried. Bruce Zillmer moved to approve student transportation driver contracts as presented; George Graper seconded and the motion passed.
On policy, the board approved the NEOLA Board Policy Updates on second reading by roll-call vote recorded as 9-0. The motion was moved by Bruce Zillmer and seconded by Dawn Papendorf.
On personnel, the board approved all non-sports contracts as presented and voted to table all sports contracts until the next board meeting; Melissa Stuhr moved and Bruce Zillmer seconded the motion.
No dollar amounts for the referendum projects were presented at the meeting. Attendance and vote outcomes were recorded in the minutes for transparency.
