Alderman Byerly moved, with a second from Alderman Thering, that the City Clerk read Resolution 430 'a Resolution of the Board of Aldermen Establishing the Annual Rate of Property Tax for the City of Knob Noster for the Next Twelve Months' in its entirety. The motion carried 4 ayes to 0 nays, and City Clerk Amy M. Schouten read Resolution 430. The public hearing closed at 6:16 p.m. with no public discussion recorded.
The minutes record the procedural motion to read Resolution 430 and the fact that the resolution was read aloud; they do not record a separate roll-call vote adopting the resolution. The board's action at the meeting established that the resolution was presented to the board and formally read as part of the public hearing process.
The public hearing and reading are part of the city's routine process for considering and documenting property tax rates for the coming 12 months. No members of the public addressed the board during the hearing.
The board moved on to other agenda items after the hearing. City Clerk Amy M. Schouten is listed as the meeting's record custodian in the minutes.
