The Durand City Council on June 10 approved multiple routine license renewals, adopted the city’s Compliance Maintenance Annual Report and cleared payroll and vendor vouchers.
The council approved the consent agenda (May 27 minutes, the May budget comparison and a bartender license for Carmen L. Kietzer) on a motion by Council Member Nick Weisenbeck, seconded by Mark Menke; the item carried with Council Member Travis Hooker recorded as an abstention. A public hearing on annual Class A/B liquor and fermented malt beverage renewals for 2026–2027 was opened at 6:04 p.m. and closed at 6:05 p.m.; no public comments were received. The council then approved the liquor renewal list (motion by Robert Weishapple, seconded by Mark Menke), operator license renewals (motion by Matt Roesler, seconded by Nick Weisenbeck), tobacco renewals (motion by LeAnna Kavanaugh, seconded by Nick Weisenbeck) and coin machine renewals (motion by Matt Roesler, seconded by Robert Weishapple). Several of those motions were recorded as carrying by unanimous voice vote, with the earlier consent/license approval noting Hooker’s abstention.
The council reviewed and adopted Resolution 26-06, the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR), after a motion offered by Travis Hooker, moved by Matt Roesler and seconded by LeAnna Kavanaugh; roll call vote was six ayes and zero nays. Later in the meeting the council approved vouchers #31632–31668 totaling $529,570.14 on a motion by Travis Hooker, seconded by Robert Weishapple; the roll call vote was six ayes and zero nays.
The approvals are procedural items affecting municipal licensing and accounting; no substantive policy changes or public testimony were recorded during the license hearing. The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for June 24, 2026.
