Durand officials completed organizational business at the April 21 City Council meeting: oaths of office were administered and council leadership was selected.
City Clerk Angela Morgan administered the Oaths of Office to Mayor Patrick Milliren and council members Travis Hooker, LeAnna Kavanaugh and Nick Weisenbeck; terms were recorded as expiring in April 2028. Following nominations, the council confirmed Travis Hooker as Council President by unanimous ballot (Hooker abstained) and Matthew Roesler as Council Vice President by unanimous ballot (Roesler abstained).
Mayor Milliren then presented a slate of appointments to boards, commissions and committees. After no opposition, the council approved the appointments on a motion by Robert Weishapple, seconded by Nick Weisenbeck.
These organizational actions were adopted as part of routine opening business at the meeting; no dissent or extended debate was recorded.
