Library repairs, parks updates and Youth Center future discussed at council meeting

City Administrator Jason Sergeant reported that aquatic center revenue was four times the expenses and that expenses were three times higher than expected, noting the facility’s revenue performance during the season.
On the Youth Center, Alderperson Jim Brooks summarized its financial and operational history and Council discussion indicated support for continuing programming; members said that if funds are available they would favor hiring someone to manage the center and noted the importance of meeting the new school administrator as part of future planning.
No formal funding decisions for these program items were recorded at the Sept. 10 meeting.
