Fennimore Common Council approves $1.48 million in claims, appoints library and tree board members, sells parcel and promotes wastewater superintendent

The clerk presented proof of public notice under Section 19.84 of the Wisconsin Statutes; Streif moved and Day seconded to approve the proof and the agenda, and the motion carried, 7-0.

On appointments, the council unanimously approved Katie Koestler as the school representative on the library board to replace Jalissa Reynolds (motion by Day, second by Roth). The council also approved JoAnn Wiederholt and Becky Fernette to serve on the Tree Board (motion by Day, second by Roth), both motions carried 7-0.
The council approved bid documents for shelving and movable furniture for the library and authorized the project to go out to bid (motion by Day, second by Streif; 7-0). Evan from Town & Country Engineering presented an overview of future public-works projects and estimated associated costs; the minutes note the presentation but do not include the cost figures in the record provided.
Regarding personnel and property actions, the council moved into closed session at 5:53 p.m. to discuss matters related to the Water/Wastewater Superintendent (motion by Roth, second by Strack; roll-call 7-0).
