Fox Lake council approves routine appointments, contracts and nominations

The City of Fox Lake Common Council on April 15 confirmed a slate of mayoral appointments, approved routine municipal designations and agreements, and carried several motions by voice vote.
Alderpersons approved appointments to multiple boards and commissions, including Josh Meyer and Geno Huettner to the Planning Commission (three-year terms expiring April 2029) and Rachel Rosenow to the Library Board (three-year term expiring April 2029). The council also approved appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals and several members to the Fox Lake Historical Board for one-year terms expiring April 2027.
The council designated Mike Devitt of QBS SC as the city attorney for a two-year term through April 2028 and named the Daily Citizen as the municipal newspaper for a two-year period through April 2028. Council also approved a second driveway at 108 Rosedale Avenue to provide access to a rear garage and authorized a professional services agreement with MSA for engineering and platting for Cayuse Court Phase 2.
Peter Hartzheim moved and Marcy Benz seconded the nomination of Dennis Linke as council president for a one-year term expiring April 2027; the motion carried on a voice vote. Other routine motions, including approval of the April 1, 2026 minutes, were also carried by voice vote.
None of these items in the record drew extended discussion in open session; the minutes show motions, seconders and that each motion carried by voice vote.
