Laddonia Board of Aldermen approve UTV purchase, temporary animal-control contract, road closure and building permit

At its March 19 meeting the Laddonia Board of Aldermen approved a set of routine items, including the purchase of a new utility task vehicle and a short-term animal-control contract.
The board voted 4-0 to buy a new UTV from Haden’s Motorsports for $25,043 and to post the old UTV for bids to sell. The motion was moved by Alderman Travis Lybarger and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dwayne Hogue. The minutes record the vote as 4-0.
The board also approved a contract award (Bid #2) to S&R Animal Control. According to the minutes, the contract provides four scheduled trips per month and 12 floating trips across six months, at a cost of $500 per month; the motion (moved by Alderman Jeremy Fendrick, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dwayne Hogue) passed 4-0.
Other approvals recorded in the minutes included a road closure for Gracie’s on May 9 and a building permit for Victoria Snyder; both motions passed 4-0. The minutes also show the board approved the February 2026 meeting minutes, the February monthly reports and the February warrant list earlier in the meeting.
Motions were recorded as having passed unanimously (4-0). The meeting was called to order and presided over by Mayor Tresa Hodges.
