A board member asked whether any district-specific changes had been made; staff answered that these updates were straight from the association and the district typically does not vary from those recommended language unless policy options are specifically provided. The board voted by voice to approve the custom policy updates ('Motion carries').
The approval was procedural: board members emphasized that legal counsel and staff had reviewed the language and that the board expects to review any forthcoming items tied to recently passed legislation.
