RAYVILLE, La. — The Richland Parish School Board met Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in Rayville and unanimously approved the April 8, 2025, regular meeting minutes before publishing them in the Official Journal.
The approval was moved by Mrs. Linda Jones and seconded by Dr. Georgia Ineichen. The board recorded the vote as "Yeas: All; Nays: None; Absent: Mr. Chris Pruitt." The motion carried.
The board used the meeting to recognize May honorees. The board named I’Yonnie McGraw, a Mangham Elementary School student, as Student of the Month and honored Randi Hammons Scott, a teacher at Mangham Elementary, as Employee of the Month. The board also recognized the Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) program at Start Elementary School.
Board members received the district's 2025–2026 District Management Plan and routine monthly reports, including the personnel chart, school lunch monthly financial statement, sales tax revenue statement and the general fund monthly financial statement. No discussion of policy changes, budget reallocations or votes related to those documents was recorded in the meeting minutes.
Mrs. Marie Lewis moved to adjourn the meeting; Mrs. Linda Jones seconded. The clerk recorded the vote as "Yeas: All; Nays: None; Absent: Mr. Chris Pruitt." The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned. The record is signed by Sheldon Jones, secretary, and Mrs. Emily Ogden, vice president of the Richland Parish School Board.
