Emily Ogden, board member, moved to approve the May 11, 2025 regular meeting minutes for publication in the Official Journal; Dr. Georgia Ineichen, board member, seconded the motion and the board voted in favor with Mrs. Linda Jones and Mr. Reed Trisler recorded as absent.
James Hough, board member, moved to approve the 2025–2026 Crisis Management Plan; Marie Lewis, board member, seconded. The motion passed unanimously among members present, with the same two absentees noted in the minutes.
Marie Lewis moved and Dr. Georgia Ineichen seconded a motion to name Beacon News as the Official Journal of the Richland Parish School Board. The motion carried unanimously with Mrs. Linda Jones and Mr. Reed Trisler absent.
The board received informational monthly reports including the personnel chart, the school lunch monthly financial statement, the sales tax revenue statement and the general fund monthly financial statement. The board also received information about upcoming district events; the minutes record no additional action on those items.
