Otterville R‑VI board accepts resignations, approves multiple contracts and a hire for 2025–26

The Otterville R‑VI Board of Education on March 19 accepted resignations and approved contracts and a hire for the 2025–26 school year.
After reconvening from a closed session, the board unanimously accepted the resignation of ELA teacher Aleksey Romenskiy effective at the end of the 2024–25 school year. The board also accepted resignations from head softball coach Maria Schoen and assistant softball coach Emily Taber; each motion carried 6–0.
The board approved a slate of non‑tenure contracts for the 2025–26 school year: Grace Phillips, Hannah Corpening, Faith Komerska, Cara Harrington, Desirae Nau, Kay Reynolds, Melissa Westphal and Kendra Hudson. It also approved tenure contracts for Paige Benny, Jordyn Shirky, Maria Morrison, Ryan Benny, Michell Davis, Doneta Handley, Maria Schoen and Marsha Buescher. Additional tenure contracts for April Gaskell and Michelle Phillips were approved separately. All contract motions carried 6–0.
The board approved hiring Amanda Petree for the Business position for the 2025–26 school year by motion of Sean Main, seconded by Aaron Berry; the motion carried 6–0.
Each of the personnel actions followed the board’s closed‑session consideration of personnel and student matters; the board reconvened and recorded roll call votes for each open‑session motion.
The meeting adjourned following the personnel actions.
