The Hobart Redevelopment Commission approved several contract and payment items and accepted the register of claims during its regular meeting.
Staff described change order number 9 for the Colorado tracking project as related to routing an electrical service (directional boring to a junction box) after a utility pole relocation. The change order was discussed as necessary to get lighting and related systems operating; staff noted the overall project remained about $64,000 under budget and recommended approving the change order so the contractor can proceed. The change order was moved, seconded and approved.
The commission also approved a payment application for roundabout improvements. Staff said the contractor had completed most of the work and requested payment 1 in the amount of $253,350; that payment was approved by the commission.
Commissioners reviewed the register of claims and a set of bond requisitions. The register of claims presented at the meeting totaled about $280,409.46; motions to approve the register and bond requisitions (including requisition 76 and requisition 77) were made and approved.
Staff said additional requisitions and claims relate to ongoing lease rental bonds and RDC contributions to several capital projects. No dissenting votes were recorded in the transcript for these items; actions were approved by voice.
