Selectmen on March 23 asked the Community Power Committee to reconvene and deliver an updated recommendation before June. The board also agreed to advertise the vacant Recreation Director position.
Concerns were raised that the police budget may be too high, but selectmen noted a contractual obligation to the county sheriff’s department and discussed an alternative from the State Police; the board ultimately decided to maintain the existing arrangement with the sheriff.
The board said this year's annual report will be dedicated to Glenn Stan, Ken Henninger and Sam Fear in recognition of trail work.
