Stoddard to launch new town website despite migration glitches; owner assigned

The Stoddard Board of Selectmen decided Feb. 23 to proceed with launching a new town website despite known data-migration problems affecting the Zoning Board of Adjustment section.
Board members said launching now avoids maintaining two sites and that staff will perform a cleanup of migrated files after the new site goes live. To improve security and account recovery, the board authorized using personal email addresses for user accounts on the new system; Michelle Pong was designated the owner of the Board of Selectmen's page.
Separately, the board directed staff to draft a warrant article to fund a new fireproof/waterproof filing cabinet for archival records and said they will check a local farm property for a used cabinet as a cost-saving option. The board also reviewed solid waste costs (noting high demolition-waste charges, probably from seasonal residents) and requested a spring follow-up inspection of the Gold House septic leach field after two repaired pipes were identified.
The board set a public budget hearing for March 30, 2026, and reiterated that website launch and records plans will move forward before the hearing.
