Weston County School Board recognizes Career & Trade Fair organizers and student achievements

School administrators used the March 12 meeting to highlight recent student and staff accomplishments.
Bryce Hoffman recognized Maggie Unterseher and Zach Beam for organizing the 2025 Career and Trade Fair, thanked staff, custodial personnel and the high school track team for logistical help, and listed state swimming and wrestling placings including Gabe Hoover (third in the 200 IM) and Harrison Gross (third in the 500). Hoffman also noted the 200- and 400-yard relays placed sixth.
Tyler Bartlett recognized published poetry authors from the seventh grade and students in an optional poetry workshop; he also noted that middle school teacher Robert Munger received the VFW Citizenship Education Teacher Award for Wyoming middle school teachers and is under consideration for a national award. Brandy Holmes recognized February’s Good Citizens, Luxen Szuma and Ryker Rhoades. Taren Olson reported on Special Olympics results and thanked staff and volunteers who supported athletes; minutes list area and state medals for named students.
The board’s recognitions covered extracurricular activities, state competitions and classroom achievements; administrators invited board members to upcoming events, including a middle school dance and parent‑teacher conferences.
