Epping Conservation Commission reviews budget, approves PollUnit reimbursement and readies photo contest

Vice Chair and Treasurer Dan McCombs presented the commission’s updated finances through the end of April: Conservation LUCT $617,674.25; Conservation Expendable Trust Fund $7,408.44; Operating Budget $4,600.00; Escrow $16,343.02. McCombs said no operating budget funds had been expended since the previous month but noted an anticipated $700 charge for the Tilton kiosk.
Commissioner Jeff Leombruno moved that the Commission reimburse McCombs for a one-year PollUnit premium subscription if renewal charges are charged to his personal credit card; Leombruno seconded his own motion and it carried 5-0. Commissioners agreed to update Photo Contest rules to state that Commission members may not influence contest outcomes; the contest typically opens on June 1.
Separately, commissioners discussed integrating Commission content with the new Town website; Leombruno suggested maintaining the Commission domain name and pointing it to the town site. Chair Liz Wilson will ask the Town Administrator whether an alternate member can perform commission business during the day.
No votes were recorded to change the operating budget at the meeting.
