Epping conservation commission reports LUCT balance, appoints Dan McCombs vice chair

At its April 15 meeting the Town of Epping Conservation Commission reviewed account balances and made a personnel appointment.
Dan McCombs, the commission treasurer, reported balances through March: Conservation LUCT $616,547.43 (including interest and a $9,000 contribution from 2024), Conservation Expendable Trust Fund $7,408.44, Operating Budget $4,600.00, and Escrow $16,313.22 (which includes a $3,446.57 contribution). McCombs clarified that leftover operating budget monies are deposited into the escrow fund annually, not into the expendable trust fund as had been stated earlier in the meeting.
The commission addressed membership after Vice Chair Gabe Porter’s resignation. The body approached Alternate Scott Pim to ask whether he would accept a full-member appointment; Pim had not yet decided and the commission said it would advertise the vacancy. The commission then appointed Dan McCombs as Vice Chair by motion of Jeff Leombruno, seconded by Joe Trombley; the motion carried 4-0. A full board reorganization will take place at the next meeting when more members are present.
Other administrative notes: commissioners reported outreach items were none at this time and the commission reminded volunteers of the Town Clean-Up on April 20.
