Osborn delays wastewater contract review, directs staff to assess lift-station repairs

City Clerk Jody Barlow told the Osborn Board of Aldermen on March 11 that the city had received a proposal from Steve McDowell of H2O Solutions for work on the municipal wastewater system and that the board would revisit the proposal after consulting other companies.
The board also heard that water loss in the system is 10.8 percent. The clerk said two staff members, identified in the meeting as Jeff and Steve, had expressed concerns about the condition of the city's lift stations. The board asked Jeff to assess the repairs needed and to present his findings at the next meeting.
Barlow also reminded the board that a Budget Hearing is scheduled for March 31 at 6:00 p.m. No final procurement decisions were made on March 11; the board unanimously approved routine procedural items and deferred the wastewater contract for further review.
