Osborn board approves routine bills, confirms two aldermen and tables two ordinances

At its Jan. 14 meeting the Osborn Board approved the agenda, bills and consent agenda (all 4-0), confirmed that no April election is needed (two candidates filed) keeping Norman Baumgarden and Brian Stone in office through March 2028, tabled Ordinance 2026-02 (Bad Checks) and off-street parking regulations, and adjourned at 6:47 P.M.
The Osborn Board of Aldermen handled routine business at its Jan. 14, 2026 meeting, approving the agenda, a list of January bills, and the consent agenda (which included Dec. 10, 2025 minutes and the December 2025 financial report). All routine motions recorded in the meeting passed unanimously, 4-0.
City Clerk Jody Barlow announced the city's new website, www.osbornmo.gov, is live. She also told the board there will be no April 2026 election because only two candidates registered for two available alderman seats; Norman Baumgarden and Brian Stone therefore will continue to serve as aldermen until March 2028.
The board tabled Ordinance 2026-02 (Bad Checks) until the next meeting and also tabled a discussion on creating off-street parking regulations for vehicles, trailers, and RVs. No public comments were recorded, and there were no alderman comments. With no further business the board adjourned at 6:47 P.M.
