The Gilmanton Board of Selectmen on Jan. 22 approved a routine consent agenda and several administrative requests.
Town Administrator Heather Carpenter presented the consent agenda, which included the 2026 annual salt purchase order reported as $75,000, an emergency purchase order for a product already received, and a December 31, 2025 purchase order. Carpenter also presented a proposal from Northpoint Engineering for annual landfill services and requested the board authorize the Town Administrator to sign the contract, noting this is standard procedure when the proposal arrives after the budget process.
Vice Chairman Evan Collins moved and Selectman Meredith Kelley seconded approval of the consent agenda with authorization for the Town Administrator to sign the Northpoint Engineering contract for landfill services. The motion passed by a vote of 2-0.
Carpenter also presented a recurring request from the Sawyer Lake Village District to use the town auditorium for its April 4, 2026 meeting; the board approved the request by a 2-0 vote. The board recorded no public attendees for the meeting and noted town staff are generally not present for these district meetings, as district commissioners open and secure the building.
The board also recorded several action items arising from the meeting, including the Town Administrator signing the Northpoint contract on the board's behalf and preparing the voter's guide for distribution.
