On Jan. 22 the Gilmanton Board of Selectmen recommended two warrant articles for the March ballot.
Finance Administrator Lauraine Paquin reported the Department of Revenue Administration had officially changed the title of Article 17. Vice Chairman Evan Collins moved and Selectman Meredith Kelley seconded that the board recommend Article 17, titled "Cemetery/Burial Ground Expendable Trust Fund," as written. The motion passed by a vote of 2-0.
The board also affirmed its recommendation for Article 19 after the required petition signatures were received; that motion likewise recorded a 2-0 vote in favor.
These recommendations will be reflected on the warrant for the upcoming deliberative session and on the March ballot. No amendments or dissent were recorded at the meeting.
