Epping approves $1.77 million in bills and green-lights recreation hires and promotion

At its May 11 meeting the Epping Board of Selectmen approved the consent calendar, which included the payroll manifest for the period ending May 7, 2026 totaling $213,849.97 and an accounts payable manifest totaling $1,765,203.42. The accounts payable amount includes $1,000,000 for the school, $247,000.19 for wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) upgrade design, $155,614.00 for the Sewer Upgrade #1 bond and $362,589.23 for town expenses.
The board also approved solar exemptions for several property owners and granted a raffle permit to Friends of the Library to raffle a quilt with proceeds supporting the library. Selectman Tom Gauthier moved to approve the consent calendar; the motion was seconded and carried 5-0.
On personnel matters in parks and recreation, the board approved rehire and hiring actions: rehire of Hannah Marshall as After School Program Jr. Staff at $15.00 per hour; hiring of Aiden Dyer as Lead Before and After School Program and summer staff at $16.50 per hour; and promotion of Rebecca Zyliak from Director of Summer Camp Recreation ($21.55/hr) to Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation at $28.00 per hour. The personnel motions were moved and seconded as recorded and carried unanimously.
The meeting minutes and manifests were signed and filed. The board did not discuss line-item budget changes to the WWTF design payment during the public session.
