Epping commissioners advance Kimball Crossing water design as developers request water, sewer for 330-unit Verdant Pastures

Joe Coronati of engineering firm Jones & Beach presented two updated Kimball Crossing designs showing an 8-inch water main that would serve two lots and include private booster pumps for each building. The commission said engineering review and escrow funds will be required. Commissioner Dwyer moved to advance the design with the water-line crossing to the east; Commissioner Fecteau seconded and the motion carried 2–0.
Coronati and developer Steve Kaneb updated the commission on Verdant Pastures, a proposed development the minutes describe as including about 330 apartments. The developers indicated they need town water and are seeking sewer; Kaneb said he is willing to explore water development on his property. Commissioner Fecteau said the full Water & Sewer Commission will need to discuss the process for allowing connections and noted that, if a connection is granted, a 20% deposit would be required.
The commission did not record a timetable for final approvals or a vote on utility connections; the minutes state the town’s engineers will review submitted plans and escrow for review will be required. The moves made May 5 advance engineering review rather than authorize immediate construction or service connections.
