Epping selectmen approve $1.8M accounts payable, tax abatements and routine warrants

On March 30 the Epping Board of Selectmen approved its consent calendar by a 5-0 vote.
The items approved included minutes from the March 16 meeting; a payroll manifest for the pay period ending March 26, 2026 totaling $202,066.66; and an accounts payable manifest totaling $1,795,758.26. The accounts payable total, as recorded in the meeting packet, allocated $1,000,000 for the school, $126,428.88 for the wastewater treatment facility upgrade, $320,000.00 for Trustees of the Trust Funds warrant articles, and $349,329.38 for town accounts.
The board also approved excavation tax charges, intent-to-excavate filings, and land‑use change tax payments at 7 Birch Hill Road ($20,000.00) and 384 North River Road ($17,000.00). Several abatements were approved (including amounts of $1,147.50, $925.50, $303.00 and $639.00 for specified properties); one requested abatement to Ladds Lane Development Group LLC was recommended to be denied because it was not filed by the deadline. An elderly exemption application for property at 290 Calef Highway was also approved.
Selectman Joe Trombley moved to approve the consent calendar; Selectman Tom Gauthier seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
