Highway Supervisor Moe Hicks presented the specification and justification for a 2026 F600 4x4 truck. The board voted 5-0 to approve Purchase Order #679 to Grappone Ford for $177,063.00 and recorded $40,000.00 as the 2026 lease payment. Selectman Joe Trombley made the motion and Selectman Tom Gauthier seconded.
Town Administrator Jake T. Roger introduced a revised Snow and Ice Policy that explicitly addresses so-called "snow casting"—the practice of pushing or depositing snow onto public ways or neighboring properties—saying enforcement would be available to the Highway Department under the new policy. Selectman Gauthier moved to approve the policy; Selectman Trombley seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The board asked staff to publish the policy and prepare enforcement procedures; DPW officials were assigned follow-up tasks including scheduling the truck delivery and finalizing lease financing.
The votes were routine and carried without public comment.
