Hooker County adopts One‑and‑Six Year Road Plan, prioritizes Furrow Road for 2027

Copland told the board the county's armor coat project is expected to begin sometime after July 4, 2026, which the board factored into scheduling for next year’s work.
Chairman Bryan Crisp moved to adopt the resolution and Commissioner Thad Emerson seconded; a roll call vote recorded three ayes and the motion carried. The resolution formalizes the county’s short‑ and medium‑term pavement and maintenance priorities and will guide budgeting and contracting for the road department.
Why it matters: The One‑and‑Six Year Plan establishes which roads receive county resources and when; prioritizing Furrow Road directs 2027 capital and maintenance dollars and signals to residents and contractors which projects will be scheduled first.
