The Greenland Board of Selectmen approved several administrative and ceremonial items during its April 6 meeting, including utility licensing, policy updates, a community designation and its consent agenda.
The Board voted to grant Eversource Energy a license to erect and maintain poles and structures on Emery Lane consistent with the terms of the company’s petition. Paul Stanley moved the motion and Stephan Toth seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Based on auditor recommendations, the Town Administrator presented revisions to the Purchasing Policy to clarify documentation requirements and thresholds for different purchase types. The Board approved the updated Purchasing Policy with a motion from Zach Pike and a second from Stephan Toth.
Vaughan Morgan proposed that Greenland be designated a Purple Heart Community. The Board voted to formally accept the designation, designate Post Road as the town’s official Purple Heart Trail and authorized the Town Administrator to coordinate with Greenland Veterans, Inc. and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to complete the necessary steps.
The Board approved the consent agenda, which included accounts payable of $620,845.89 (noted to include a $500,000 payment to the School), payroll and associated items. Paul Stanley moved to approve the consent agenda, Laura Malloy seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The Board voted to enter a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3, II(a) at 7:20 p.m. to discuss personnel matters. Roll-call votes were recorded and, after returning to public session, the Board voted to seal the non-public minutes.
