Palmyra superintendent reports sewer-camera delivery, tree trimming and mutual aid to Monroe City

Superintendent Brent Abell reported operational work and upcoming equipment delivery to the Palmyra Board of Public Works on June 5.
Abell said the electrical department has been assisting Monroe City when needed. He told the board crews are trimming trees behind Northeast Power toward the sewer plant to address electrical "blinks" observed during recent storms. Abell said sewer lines around Buchanan have been run and show good flow, and that some residents may be installing check valves to manage flow.
A sewer camera is scheduled for delivery on June 16; Abell said that once it arrives the water/sewer maintenance crew will begin cutting tree roots from sewer lines. He also advised there are 30 secondary electrical poles that need attention and that a load of poles should be ordered to address the problem.
The minutes note Perry Machine & Die will be placing more load on two machines located in the old plant; the board recorded this operational update but took no formal action on that item during the meeting.
