Palmyra public works superintendent reports on DNR projects, sewer relocation and billboard pole work

At the June 19, 2025 meeting in Palmyra Council Chambers, Superintendent Brent Abell updated the Palmyra Board of Public Works on several operational items. Abell said an applicant for the water/sewer maintenance department will be interviewed next week. He also reported that poles for the Warren Head Business Park billboard structure have been replaced and extended in height.
Abell said the schedule for DNR projects was reviewed and discussed and reported that a sewer line on North Dickerson is being relocated. He showed pictures of developments around Palmyra and the areas the departments will be addressing. No formal votes or detailed timelines for the DNR projects or the sewer relocation are recorded in the meeting minutes.
The board approved routine agenda items, minutes and department bills during the session and adjourned at 6:01 p.m.
