TURTLE LAKE, N.D. — The City Commission voted Feb. 9 to accept a John Deere bid for payloader accessories after a 2–2 split among commissioners that required a mayoral tiebreaker.
Commissioner Stacie Adams moved to accept the John Deere bid for pallet forks and a man basket; Commissioner Tim Britton seconded. Commissioner Rick Schwalk said he preferred separating the items and purchasing only the pallet forks; Commissioner Matt Lang also voted no. The vote was tied, and Mayor Dianne Zenker cast the deciding yes vote. The motion carried.
