Administrator Curt Erickson said the process would include a minimum $250 fee and a not-to-exceed $1,000 fee when consultant review is necessary. The administrative review will cover compliance with the zoning ordinance, driveway locations, utility connections and require collection of fees before Johnson Inspections issues a building permit. Erickson said a test review of plans for a property at 721 Forest Edge Drive found missing items and took staff more than an hour and a half, prompting the fee proposal to recover staff time.
Dawn Forseth moved to approve the fee addition and Justin Martinez seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
