The Mazomanie Village Board unanimously approved awarding the Crescent Street Infrastructure Project to Meise Construction LLC, accepting Town & Country Engineering’s recommendation after a March 5 bid opening that produced six bids.
Town & Country’s analysis, included in the board packet, recommended the award based on bid review by the village engineer, administrator and public works director. The project scope includes full street reconstruction on Crescent Street, storm sewer upgrades, underground utility replacement, sanitary sewer lining and manhole rehabilitation.
Jim Marx moved to accept the engineer’s recommendation and Justin Martinez seconded the motion; the vote carried unanimously. Board members said the number of bidders reflected competitive interest in the work and did not identify any conditions attached to the award.
The Board did not discuss a separate funding motion in this segment; related financing impacts for capital improvements were addressed elsewhere on the agenda during the review of proposed 2026 general obligation promissory notes.
