The Melrose-Mindoro School Board approved multiple personnel actions at its April 27 meeting, including hires, resignations, retirements and a contract to make the Pupil Services Director a full-time position.
As part of the consent agenda the board accepted the resignation of Special Education Paraprofessional McKenzie Linenberg and approved hires for Chelsea Christopherson (Special Education Paraprofessional) and Niels Anderson (7–12 principal). The board also approved retirements for Lisa Johnson (Speech and Language teacher) and Tammy Radcliffe (Library Media paraprofessional). All consent-agenda personnel motions carried 6-0.
The board approved two early graduation requests for Isabella Rozek and Cecelia Mulholland (motion by Jamie Waughtal, second by Emily Stanton). Miranda Chandler was chosen as the district representative to the CESA 4 annual convention for 2026–2027.
Following a closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. §19.85 the board returned to open session and approved a contract making the Pupil Services Director position full time (five days per week) for the 2026–2027 school year (motion by Terry Blaken, second by Miranda Chandler). That motion carried 6-0.
Separately, the board approved adding a special education teacher position for the 2026–2027 school year to support a self-contained classroom, intended to meet student needs (motion by Becky Whalen, second by Terry Blaken; motion carried 6-0).
