The Village of Merrimac caucus convened at 9:00 a.m. on Jan. 11 in Village Hall. Administrator Jennie Klecker was nominated and appointed to serve as caucus chair due to President Andrew Gallus being a candidate in the caucus.
Chairperson Klecker stated the caucus's purpose: "The purpose of this caucus is to secure nominations of candidates for the position of two Village Trustees and one Village President whose terms will expire on the third Tuesday of April, 2025." The caucus appointed Phil Budde and Amy Buck as caucus tellers.
By acclamation, the caucus nominated Collin Bourgeois and Nate Taylor for Village Trustee positions and Andrew Gallus for Village President. After closing nominations, the caucus adjourned at 9:04 a.m.
These nominations will appear on the spring ballot unless withdrawn or otherwise changed by statute or later action.
