At its June 10 meeting the Village of Merrimac Board approved a set of alcohol and operator permit applications and addressed licensing matters related to the ongoing Colsac Lodge development.
The Board approved a Class B Beer renewal for Candy’s Merrimac Café and a Class B Combination (BLB) renewal for Mac’s Pub & Grub. It granted an original Class B Combination (BLB) license and tobacco license for Ferry X-ing Bar & Grill (AMM Enterprises, LLC), and approved original Class B Combination licenses for H’s Place Restaurant, LLC and The Ripley (Colsac Lodge, LLC). Trustees also granted a one-year extension to the Business Continuation Ordinance for H’s Place and The Ripley while Colsac Lodge construction proceeds.
Administrator Jennie Klecker invited trustees and staff to participate in a Colsac Lodge groundbreaking ceremony planned for June 24 at 11:00 a.m. Several public commenters had earlier raised concerns about dual liquor licenses associated with the Colsac Lodge property; trustees discussed licensing applications and approved the requested licenses at the meeting.
All license motions were approved by majority vote as recorded in the minutes. No objections were recorded in the minutes beyond the public comment noting a concern about dual licenses.
