Roof overlay bid for Sheriff's Office put under review after low‑bid dispute

The apparent low numerical bid came from Trevco Roofing Inc. at $139,390, but Porter Roofing Contractors argued the low bid excluded addendum items and that Porter had included the full scope including electrical work.
Procurement staff noted Porter was the only bidder to include all electrical work in its scope, and recommended awarding to Trevco as the apparent low bidder. Following statements from a Porter representative and discussion among supervisors, the board voted to have the county attorney review the bid materials and to take bids under advisement, postponing final award until the next meeting.
