River Ridge CDD reviews FY2025 budget planning; approves June minutes and keeps Pine Hurst inlet estimate on agenda

The River Ridge Board discussed elements of the FY2024/2025 budget and related projects during its July 23, 2024 meeting and took several procedural actions.

District Manager Cleo Adams asked whether further adjustments were needed beyond Mr. Blumenthal’s updated five-year Capital Improvement Plan; the Board discussed design and permitting for proposed guardhouses, possible transfers into cash sweep accounts, the traffic hawk project, and timing for the budget public hearing.

Mrs. Adams presented the unaudited financial statements as of June 30, 2024 and responded to questions about the check register. The Board approved the June 25, 2024 regular meeting minutes as amended (corrections included changing “Samantha De Guras” to “Samantha De Gyras” and revising her title to “Assistant to District Counsel,” and deleting a stray conjunction). On the record, staff also noted active action items: items 1–6, 9, 10 and 12 remain ongoing while items 7, 8, 11 and 13 were completed.

Mr. Adams presented MRI Construction Estimate #C060-24 for work on a Pine Hurst Type 9 inlet top in the amount of $10,692.88 intended to keep debris from blocking the structure; staff reported that Mr. Krebs is obtaining an additional proposal and the item will remain on the agenda. No contract award was made at the July 23 meeting.

The Board confirmed its next meeting for Aug. 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., which will include the adoption of the FY2025 budget hearing.
