Hebron council unanimously adopts annexation, two rezonings and Microsoft development agreement

At its June 12 meeting the Village of Hebron Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 15-24 (annexation), Ordinances 17-24 and 18-24 (rezonings) and Resolution 24-10 (authorizing a development agreement with Microsoft Corporation); all votes were roll-call and recorded as unanimous.
The Village of Hebron Council voted unanimously June 12 to adopt a package of land-use and economic-development measures, including an expedited Type II annexation, two zoning changes and a resolution authorizing a development agreement with Microsoft Corporation.
The council adopted Ordinance 15-24, which accepts a petition for an expedited Type II annexation filed by Elizabeth Seedorf, after Council President Randy Wolf moved to suspend the readings and Councilmember Annelle Porter moved to adopt. The roll call vote recorded all councilmembers present voting in favor.
Council also moved forward on zoning changes. Ordinance 17-24, to re-zone the parcel at 323 North High Street and declared an emergency, was advanced by suspension of readings and adopted after a motion by Porter, seconded by Stacy Stoner; the vote was unanimous. Ordinance 18-24, to re-zone 129 North High Street, was similarly advanced and adopted with all present voting yes.
On economic development, the council adopted Resolution 24-10 authorizing the mayor and fiscal officer to enter into a development agreement with Microsoft Corporation. Council suspended readings and approved the resolution by unanimous roll call. Mayor Valerie Mockus thanked staff for their work on the project and said she is "very excited to see what the village and Microsoft Corporation can accomplish together."
All recorded votes on the adopted items were roll-call votes with every councilmember present voting in favor. No amendments or opposed votes were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The council also listed Resolution 24-08 (support for America250-OH) on second reading and introduced Resolution 24-09 (authorizing placement of a replacement police levy on the November 5, 2024 ballot) for first reading; those items were not adopted at this meeting.
