The Greenland Zoning Board of Adjustment on June 16 voted to continue a variance request from 1575 Greenland Road LLC that would allow an automobile dealership at 1575 Greenland Road.
The applicant sought a variance because sales and leasing of passenger cars and light trucks (and related accessory repair services) are not permitted in the Commercial B zone under the Greenland Zoning Ordinance (Article III, Section 3.6, Subsection L, Item 1). Because the full board was not in attendance, the applicant requested a continuance to the next scheduled meeting.
Leonard Schwab moved to continue the variance request to Tuesday, July 21, 2026; Glenn Page seconded, and the motion carried with the board recorded as "all in favor." No substantive discussion of the variance merits is recorded in the minutes for June 16.
The ZBA will consider the variance at its July 21 meeting, when a fuller membership is expected to be present. The meeting record lists members absent on June 16 (Jean Eno, Rick Mauer and alternate Gordon Sims).
