At the Sept. 10 meeting the Hillsborough Conservation Commission addressed vegetation regrowth at the Shedd Brook Conservation Area.
Member Terry Yeaton described a meadow area that had been used as a log landing in the past and asked whether cutting some of the brush growing back would help keep the area open. The Commission recorded consensus in favor of limited brush cutting to maintain the meadow.
No formal vote or budget appropriation was recorded; the consensus directs staff and members to proceed with minimal maintenance to preserve the open habitat.
