At its Aug. 27 meeting the Hillsborough Conservation Commission recorded several miscellaneous but substantive items: a possible DES complaint, a review of trail and conservation property lists, and reports from trainings and regional bodies.
Chair Richard Head said he reached out to the property owner at 100 Sleeper Road, who indicated she likely will file a complaint with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES). The commission did not take formal action on the matter during this meeting.
The commission reviewed the latest trail and conservation property list and discussed planning to tie the list to a map; Recording Secretary John P. Segedy said he would speak with the school administration about the wording for access to the Underpass Trail.
Jim Riddle and Jim Narloch reported on a conservation monitoring workshop they attended and briefly discussed documentation best practices. Terry Yeaton reported a River Council presentation about milfoil.
No formal votes were recorded on these items; staff were assigned follow-up tasks and updates are expected at a future meeting.
