Hillsborough engineers present water asset-management plan, note lead-service line work and funding deadlines

Commissioner Dave Lewis asked that the map key for water assets be consistent with the sewer asset management plan previously prepared by Underwood Engineers; Blank said she would review the maps to ensure the keys match. Blank said she expected to deliver copies of the complete draft report to the Commission on Friday, Dec. 6.
Kaitlyn Curtis of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) emphasized the importance of keeping ArcGIS and the asset-management plan current, calling the tools invaluable for planning and long-term maintenance. Blank noted the final ArcGIS training is scheduled with Administrator Penny Griffin and Cody Boisvert for Dec. 19. Blank also said the final disbursement request to NHDES was due Dec. 31, 2024; Curtis confirmed NHDES would accept the final disbursement request through Jan. 31, 2025.
The presentation framed the asset-management plan as a foundation for planning and budgeting but did not include final cost figures; commissioners requested map-key consistency and the firm indicated it would provide a completed draft for review the following day.
