Planning director continues Avanru hearing to Nov. 6; board alerted to Sept. 19 TIF discussion

HILLSBOROUGH, N.H. — The Hillsborough Planning Board moved the Avanru Development application to the start of its Sept. 18 meeting and continued the matter to Nov. 6 to allow the applicant time to respond to Water & Sewer comments.
Planning Director Robyn Payson said the project needs to respond to Water and Sewer comments and that she had placed the hearing on the calendar for Nov. 6 at the high school, though a room has not yet been confirmed. "They need to respond to and they need extra time," the minutes state; Payson said she planned to post the hearing once a room is secured.
The board voted to continue the acceptance of the Avanru application to Nov. 6. The minutes emphasize that the application had not yet been accepted for review by the Planning Board.
In other business, Payson reminded members of a meeting scheduled for Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at the fire station, where the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission will discuss the proposed Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district and how it will work with the Gateway Ordinance. The Economic Development Commission is hosting; invited boards include the Board of Selectmen, Conservation Commission, and the Water/Sewer Commission.
