HILLSBOROUGH, N.H. — The Hillsborough Trustees of the Trust Funds met April 3 at the Hillsborough Fire Department and unanimously approved several administrative and funding items, including officer appointments and scholarship disbursements to Hillsboro‑Deering Schools.
The meeting opened at 4:25 p.m., when the trustees reviewed and approved the minutes from their March 28, 2025 meeting. Trustee Riché Colcombe moved to approve the minutes; Lori Adams seconded, and the trustees voted 3–0 to adopt the record.
The trustees next considered organizational roles for the body. Lori Adams moved that Riché Colcombe continue as chair, that Adams continue as secretary, that Judy Ann Thibault remain the primary contact for investment funds, and that Bill Shee continue as treasurer. Trustee Judy Ann Thibault seconded the motion; the trustees voted 3–0 to confirm the appointments.
The trustees then reviewed and approved specified disbursements from a set of named trust funds to be made available for scholarships and awards at Hillsboro‑Deering Schools. Trustee Judy Ann Thibault moved to approve the amounts as listed from each fund; Lori Adams seconded. The motion passed by a 3–0 vote.
The minutes list the funds and approved amounts as follows: Tingley (TF108) $100; J Simoes (TF114) $180; EM Barnes (TF116) $1,700; Peaslee‑Inness‑Old School‑Coca Cola (TF188) $275; Haslet (TF128) $1,750; T Henson (TF148) $80; S&G Smith (TF150) $1,400; EA Butler (TF162) $1,200; Gert Adams (TF170) $1,600; Lila Murphy (TF176) $19,500 (trustees requested scholarships from this fund be in the $2,000–$7,000 range); Manahan (TF102) $500; Hillsboro Medical Services (TF104) $15,000 (minutes note some money from this fund was held back to allow disbursement for purposes other than high school scholarships, per the fund stipulation); and Withington Award (TF174) $1,590.
