At its Oct. 7 meeting the Town of Jefferson Select Board unanimously approved multiple building and repair items. Selectman Norman Brown moved and Selectman Kevin Meehan seconded the approvals.
Permits: The board approved Santa's Village permits to rebuild part of the Snowball Mall with an addition and to construct a new two‑story administrative office. The board also approved a Del Cass permit to place two 8'x20' shipping containers with a roof, creating a 20'x32' structure.
Facility repairs: The board reviewed a quote from Regional Siding Inc. to replace metal flashing on the Jefferson Community Center and accepted the $11,956 bid to install PVC lumber flashing. The board asked for additional quotes for backboards for the center’s basketball hoops and requested updated information before proceeding.
Administrative items: The board reviewed and initialed deposits and general ledger entries for September, signed cemetery deeds, reviewed a Cargill salt estimate, and signed the voting warrant for the November 2024 election.
Next steps: staff will follow up with contractors and return with any additional quotes and updated information at a future meeting.
